We, the United Socialists of Yugoslavia, fight against the enslaving system that is capitalism and we fight for the reunification of Yugoslavs under one socialist state.
- We are working towards the tearing down of the capitalist system in the region of the former Yugoslavia. Capitalism is an enslaving system which divides and oppresses workers and only exists to better the lives of the bourgeoisie and nobody else. The advancement of the people of Yugoslavia can only be made possible by the destruction of this system.
- Together with the destruction of capitalism in this region, we are pushing and fighting for the unification of all Yugoslavs under one socialist nation. Throughout history we can see that the Balkans, especially the western Balkans and the Slavs who live there, have been divided in two or more parts by foreign powers. Be it the Ottomans or Austro-Hungarians, the peoples of Yugoslavia have throughout history been divided and the hate between them has been made under the influence of foreign powers for the benefit of said foreign powers.
- We look at history, Yugoslav and world, through the lenses of Marxism, Leninism, socialism, anti-imperialism, and antifascism. We recognize that the world isn’t black and white and we recognize that people and countries are products of their time and conditions. But, that does not mean that we forgive or forget bad acts. We weigh the good against the bad and we see if that institution, country, person, etc. is bad or good in essence.
- Yugoslavs are one people of many tribes, faiths, and dialects but in the end, we are one nation. No tribe is more important or purer than the other tribes.
- We recognize the oppressed and antifascist characters of all the present nations in this region, not only of Yugoslavs. Yugoslavs are oppressed by foreign powers. But, that does not mean that other present peoples do not feel oppression or discrimination. Be they Roma, who for centuries have been oppressed by Yugoslavs and others, or refugees from war, or tribes of Yugoslavs themselves who have faced discrimination from other tribes, for example the Gorani, or peoples who are not taught about and are not commonly known of such as the Ashkali. All these peoples are with us. All these peoples seek liberation. And we are there to help them. We are there to fight for there rights and equality. The most numbered tribes of Yugoslavs are not the only ones fighting for Yugoslavia, all peoples and tribes are; Yugoslavs (and the tribes; Serbs, Slovenes, Croats, Macedonians, Bosniaks, Montenegrins, Bunjevci, Šokci, Goranis, Torbeši), Albanians, Roma, Ashkalis, Balkan Egyptians, Vlachs, Turks, Germans, Austrians, Romanians, Slovaks, Czechs, Italians, Istro-Romanians, Hungarians, Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Rusyns, Russians, Aromanians, Jews, Poles, newly arrived immigrants such as Arabs and Chinese, refugees, and other peoples who have not been listed. We are all fighting together against imperialism and we are all working together to overthrow capitalism.
- We support all oppressed people and classes. That includes women, trans people, nonbinary people, all people who belong to the LGBTQ community. We support equality for women and the LGBTQ community. We support equality for all races and peoples and support the fight that is being led by oppressed classes, including those who have been oppressed by and are being oppressed by colonialism, racism, imperialism, the patriarchy, homophobia and transphobia. We are working towards the tearing down, one day, of all classes, including gender and sex.
- We support every party, association, and organization which works towards socialism and the reunification of Yugoslavia. We are ready to work with any such institution.
- We support all movements that are fighting to create socialism or against imperialism by the West. We support all movements by workers because in essence, we are such. We are a movement of workers who are fighting to create socialism in Yugoslavia and to oppose the West and its imperialism.
- We know and recognize that socialism won’t arrive peacefully. We recognize that revolution will be difficult and violent. But, we support any movement or act that betters the lives of workers right now. Because of that, we support rent control, higher wages, creation of labour unions, etc.
- We do not hate religion nor will we ever hate her. But, religion and faith are personal things and need to stay in a person’s heart and not come out in front of others in public. Believers can be socialists and socialists can be believers. The only thing we oppose is the introduction of religion into government and public society, especially in a society in which people of various faiths live. We oppose organized religions having an influence in public society, administration, and government.
- Finally, we believe in democracy. Democracy is the foundation of socialism. Democracy is the liberation of the proletarians and the people themselves. We wish for the liberation of the people and workers. We believe that the modern Western form of “democracy” is an illusion and only exists to forward the bourgeoisie and nobody else. And we think that democracy can only exist with the seizure of the means of production from the bourgeoisie and putting it in the hands of those who make it, that is, in the hands of the proletariat.
